MODULE ONE: FINDING INTERNATIONALS NEAR YOU

Here's why it's important to learn from someone who's gone before you. I know exactly where most students get stuck in the discipling internationals process. 

In this module, we're going to crush it with the reason most people don't have success—they don't have enough friends from unreached people groups.

You'll be that. strategic. person. who actually KNOWS where people from spiritually strategic countries live near you, asking others and God what he's already doing, and a pro at getting to the elusive hello.

HIGHLIGHTS

• I'll show you how to search online using maps (I LOVE maps!) to find specific clues, and you'll feel much wiser about the diversity and layout of your area.
  
  
• A little journalism-sleuthing and talking to a few people who might know more about the location of people from spiritually strategic countries living near you will create future networking opportunities. (I'll tell you exactly what to say, so don't worry! )
  
  
• I'll show you how to get out there and gather on-the-ground intel (from God) by  walking through an area where internationals might live. We'll observe, pray, and ask God so we can partner with God's big vision. (I even modeled a prayer walk around a mosque for you).
  
  
• We'll discover practical ways to meet and greet internationals. I'll show you specific ways to find out their country origin and faith background. A fun exercise called Spiritual Treasure Seeking is gonna supercharge your pool of friendships.

MODULE TWO: ENTERING OTHER CULTURES WELL

Nothing is more disappointing than finally getting a few friends from other cultures, but then the relationship sizzles out because ya made a few cultural blunders you didn't even know about.

Yet, this is the situation most newbie international-friend-makers find themselves in.

It' s not that they don't want to cross into someone else's VERY different world—they just don't know how.

So, they just kinda bumble along, hoping they're doing the right things to be culturally appropriate.

Fortunately, there's a better way. 

In this module, I'll teach you an important mindset, five lifestyle habits and four cultural tips you can use anywhere with anyone.

• You'll learn the heart behind a serving mindset, so that you can  be  genuinely well-received.
  
  

• You'll learn FIVE ESSENTIAL HABITS to make space for cultures different from our own. Hint, it involves your calendar, FOOD, fun, and being relational.
  
  

• You'll start doing FOUR TIPS to enter into any new cultural situation with a little savvy—that will go a longggggg way, both here and anytime you travel.
   
  

• Learn why and HOW to include the whole family that also honors men and women, and traditions.

  Get this right, and you can mess up in a lot of other areas. It's really, really important.

MODULE THREE: OFFERING JESUS IN A WINSOME WAY

Now that you have a few international friends, and your life is shifting to enter their culture well, it’s time to introduce them to Jesus in a way that draws them to meaningfully consider God’s good news for them.

Here you’ll develop an irresistible path to an irresistible Jesus and his Kingdom as the backbone of everything you do with ANYONE for months and years to come.

Even if you’ve never opened your mouth to speak of Jesus, this module will break it down into simple, easy-to-do concepts and guides.

You will finally feel confident to authentically introduce the wonderful, compelling Good News to people from different backgrounds than you (and your neighbors and your own family too!)

HIGHLIGHTS

• Discover what the Bible says about cultural spiritual practices  so that we can import ONLY Jesus into another culture, and not our own extra-Biblical practices.
  
  
• Watch (and then practice) using a helpful tool called The Kingdom Circles to assure our cross-cultural friends that we want to invite them into the Kingdom of God, and not necessarily a foreign, western religion.
  
  
• Dive into five practical ways to make sure our good news comes across as GOOD. It opens up a whole new avenue for you to encourage anyone.
  
  
• Learn to tell 30-second and 3-minute story snapshots of life transformations—with joy, ease, and the elusive 'hey, this feels natural' feeling you've been wanting.

MODULE FOUR: PRAYING EFFECTIVELY WITH PEOPLE

This module is worth the cost of admission all on its own.

I’ve experienced thousands of tearful thanks from these kinds of prayers God  led me to pray with people—for encouragement and for healing—both physical and emotional. 

God really does LOVE to set people free from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light when we pray!

Even if you’ve never really prayed blessings over people, or prayed for healing expecting God to SHOW UP LIVE, you’ll WANT to try FOUR TYPES of specific kinds of prayers. 

After you watch me model the prayers, you will RUN to the nearest person you can find to “see if it works” (it does) and bask in God sightings all day long for the rest of your life.

Big promises, I know, in this the “juiciest” part of this course.

But God’s Spirit really does speak and he longs to partner with you as a vehicle for him to personally touch others. This module is Holy Spirit country.

• Practice praying in the moment with people, and reallllllly know it’s God’s Spirit communicating with you.
  
  
• Practice praying prayers that lift people up, asking God for how he sees them to bless others. Since I’m role modeling all these prayers for you—I KNOW you’re going to get some blessing too.
  
  
• Get courage and confidence to pray for healing of physically ill people—and what to do if God doesn’t seem to be doing what you’re asking.
  
  
• You'll participate virtually in an inner healing prayer session FOR YOURSELF. Yup, even though I’m on recorded video facilitating it, God WILL speak to you. 

MODULE FIVE: PRACTICING TOOLS FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO WORK

This module is where you graduate from “that’s a nice, warm feeling” kind of results to “now we’re taking the gondola to the top” kind of results.

80% of the spiritual work you’ll do to grow your friends into the Kingdom of God comes here.

Yet, most people stop right before the kind of things I teach in this module and say, “that’s good enough”, “it’s too much work”, “I'm not gifted enough”. 

It’s tempting to close up shop after someone invites you to a yummy biryani dinner in their ethnic home or cries when you pray.

But if you do, you’re leaving an open-hearted almost-in-the-kingdom person sitting just outside the Kingdom City gates, without enough to keep going towards the fullest life that God promises.

In this module, I’ll get you started on the simple but powerful practices that will grow you into a lifelong disciplemaker who makes disciples who makes their own disciples.

Only God can save someone, but we MUST OPEN OUR MOUTH. And you can do a lot to nurture them to a point of surrender where God’s Spirit meets theirs.

MODULE SIX: SERVING THE "BIG THREE": INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, RESETTLED REFUGEES, ASYLUM SEEKERS

Here's where we dive into practically SERVING three groups of vulnerable and open foreigners in our midst. 

MOST people from unreached people groups in your home country will either be immigrants—or they’ll be part of the BIG THREE: International Students, Resettled Refugees, or Asylum Seekers.

If you think about serving the BIG THREE in physical and emotional ways, most of you either get super excited—or you feel completely unqualified and don’t even know where to start. Maybe you’re a little of both.

This module shows you how to get started serving each of these groups in a simple, fun and excuse-free way, so that the Kingdom of God comes to earth with your helpful hands, in addition to the wise words from your mouth you learned in the last module.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Learn what international students REALLY need (hint: a friend), and scan down the list of super practical ways a friend like you can help them get the most out of their foreign exchange experience.
  
  
• Get the plan, step-by-step, how to WELCOME your own resettled refugee family stepping off the plane to their new apartment that you furnish. We’ll do some Q&A on case study scenarios that are often difficult, common issues YOU might run into too.
  
  
• Understand the difference between refugees and asylum seekers—and how getting involved at your own border can be exhilarating, scary, helpful, and controversial. And what to do about that.  
  
  You’ll feel like you’re living out Matthew 25, for sure. Give a cup of cold water, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger, and you might even have to visit them in prison, in my name, Jesus said.
