HERE’S THE PROBLEM...

We take ourselves with us where ever we go

Just because we're eating biryani with our Indian friend, or finally sign up for that short trip to Haiti, or even if we move long-term to the Middle East, doesn't mean we know how to share our faith in a way people can receive it. We have to LEARN THIS, PRACTICE THIS, and BE DOING IT NOW, HERE, FIRST.

We only learn a little and think we know it all... 

...or or we learn a lot all at once, and don't do any of it. Actually, it's better to invest in learning a little at a time, over a longer period of time, doing what we learn as we go, and then learning and doing a little more. It's called just-in-time training or on-the-job training. 

We try to do this by ourselves, once or twice, and then stop.

The reality is that becoming the type of person that can introduce people to Christ usually takes longer than we think. It usually takes a mentor to guide us, encourage us, and train us because it's actually quite a deep skill set. And it usually takes a community, others doing it too, so that you keep doing it, don't feel alone, and don't get distracted or give up.

MODULE ONE

BE WHERE THEY ARE

You won’t be just letting life happen to you, just sitting around hoping for lost neighbors—or Muslims or Hindu's to walk through your door randomly. This Module is all about being intentional and strategic about who you're reaching, and befriending them naturally.

 
WHAT'S INCLUDED:
  • Survey mapping so that you know where people from spiritually strategic countries live near you.
  • Strategic prayer walking so that you’re doing the pre-work asking God what he's already doing.
  • Meeting, greeting, and nurturing intentional friendships so you become a pro at getting to the elusive hello, creating opportunities to make friends in natural settings.
  • And there’s whole lesson on Finding Courage...because, without courage, nothing happens.

MODULE TWO

It’s all about entering other cultures well so that people welcome you warmly, opening the front door wide for you to share Good News; and creating a lifestyle of outreach instead of a separate, busy, add-on.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
  • You’ll learn to lay down your preferences to "become like, to win some."
  • Five essential habits to integrate your life and ministry (no burn out allowed!)
  • Four tips and principles to enter new cultural situations with savvy, so you don't offend someone unknowingly.
  • And how to practically live out honor for the family, so that you don’t extract one saved person, stopping a movement and shaming the family name.

MODULE THREE

This is a meaty, turn-your-worldview-upside down Module, a way of viewing language and religion in a way you've likely not heard before. But it’s essential to strip our own spiritual culture down to just Jesus so that we don’t offer a western, watered down, or “our” brand of the Gospel. I can’t wait for YOU to be transformed, so that others can be too.


WHAT’S INCLUDED:
  • How to use an important tool called he Kingdom Circles to defuse arguing about religions.
  • The dozens of ways Jesus is Good News so you have many ways to be found (and so do your friends).
  • A Christ Curriculum exercise to help you see what Jesus actually did, you can do it too.
  • A new way of speaking about Christ using Kingdom of God language.

MODULE FOUR

This Module is all about helping people encounter God in an experiential way, so that his power and presence is tangible. You'll learn five different powerful ways to pray in the moment with people, so that God can do the speaking and your friends feel the real, presence of God touching their everyday situations.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

  • Listening prayer, so you can hear God’s voice and partner with him

  • Encouragement prayer so your friend can hear God’s affirmation and personal care for him or her.

  • Physical healing prayer so people get healed, and you know what to do if they don't.

  • Emotional healing prayer, so that the truth can set them free from lies. YOU get to  experience emotional healing first in an hour-long pre-recorded session with me.

MODULE FIVE

Here you'll learn to sow wide seed spiritually speaking…so that you can find the people God is already preparing, or help them get to a place of wanting to become a disciple of Christ. It's so much less stressful this way on you, and the people you’re reaching to just move forward with people who reallllly WANT what you're offering.


WHAT’S INCLUDED:
  • How start spiritual conversations, including 43 spiritual opener sentences to try.
  • How to memorize and then weave Jesus stories into everyday conversation so that you can to find those God has already prepared, or help them get there.

Lastly, since Jesus’ last words were “make disciples of the nations and teach them to obey everything I taught you…”, this Module is all about using our primary discipleship tool, the Bible, reading and doing what the Bible says with people in a relaxed, intimate setting in their homes. There’s nothing more exciting than experiencing God’s Word through the eyes of someone who’s never read it before!

  • How to ask people to read the Bible with you

  • What Bibles to use, and what to read together.

  • How to major on doing what the Bible says rather than just theological learning.
